枉然

jì rán tā bù yuàn yì tīng lǐ yóu gēn tā zhēng biàn yě shì wǎng rán de

既然他不愿意听理由，跟他争辩也是枉然的。

It's no use arguing with him when he refuses to listen to reason.

gēn tā jiǎng lǐ chún shǔ shì wǎng rán
