闲人

tā shì gè dà xián rén

他是个大闲人。

He never has anything to do.

wǒ men xiàn zài dōu máng zhe yī gè xián rén yě méi yǒu

我们现在都忙着，一个闲人也没有。

All of us are busy over our work and nobody is idle.

nóng máng jì jié cūn li méi yī gè xián rén

农忙季节，村里没一个闲人。

During the busy farming season nobody in the village is idle.

yǒu xiē xián rén kāi shǐ zhēn duì tā shuō xián huà le

Some idlers started to gossip about him.
