suǒ yǒu de rén dōu qù kāi huì le wéi dú tā méi qù

所有的人都去开会了，唯独他没去。

Everyone has gone to the meeting except him.

dà jiā dōu huí jiā le wéi dú tā hái zài gōng zuò

大家都回家了，唯独她还在工作。

She kept on working when all the others had gone home.

dà jiā quán zǒu le wéi dú wǒ liú le xià lai

大家全走了，唯独我留了下来。

Everyone else has gone. I'm the only one left.
