安慰

wǒ ān wèi le tā jǐ jù

我安慰了她几句。

I said a few words to comfort her.

nǐ yào duō ān wèi tā jiào tā bié tài nán guò

你要多安慰他，叫他别太难过。

Go out of your way to comfort him so that he won't feel too bad.

wǒ cóng shuí nà néng dé dào ān wèi ne

我从谁那能得到安慰呢？

From whom shall I get comfort?

wǒ tīng dào zhè xiē huà xīn lǐ hěn ān wèi

我听到这些话心里很安慰。

I felt much comforted at hearing these words.
